Other Resources
As well as the international car hire companies, a few Spanish companies, such as Atesa, operate nationwide. You can probably negotiate the best deal with an international company from home. There are also fly-drive and other package deals, including car hire. Fly-drive, an option for two or more travelers, can be arranged by travel agents. There are car hire desks at airports and offices in the large towns. Alternatively, if you wish to hire a car locally for, say, a week or less, you can arrange it with a local travel agent. A car for hire is called a coche de alquiler . For chauffeur-driven cars in Spain, Avis offer deals from major cities. Car-hire prices and conditions vary according to the region and locality.
